Background
Lauren’s path to Baird is quite non-traditional. Her original career aspirations were in Elementary Education, however, after teaching for a year, Lauren felt something was missing and decided to pivot. She explored a few career options which included financial-technology sales, banking, and running a small business before landing at Baird. During this time, she also went back to school while working full-time and earned her MBA from University of Wisconsin – Whitewater. Lauren feels working at Baird is the perfect career for her as it ties together all her passions: working with clients, teaching, overcoming daily change and challenges, and helping others achieve their financial goals.

Lauren’s various experiences have greatly prepared her to understand and empathize with the needs of a diverse range of clients. Having run a small business, she knows what keeps business owners up at night. Her teaching background has trained her to explain complex concepts in an understandable way. Lauren can also relate to the perspectives of being a millennial and finding ways to plan for the future through disruptive times.

Lauren was drawn to Baird because of its emphasis on Financial Planning and multi-generational relationships. She loves the challenge of finding ways to help clients achieve their unique financial goals. She is a Certified Financial PlannerTM professional. As a millennial, Lauren is also drawn to working with the next generation of clients because she can relate to the challenges they face and is familiar with ever changing technology.
